Seeing the pictures and hearing so much about the beauty of Dzukou Valley, I am deeply inspired by the untouched beauty and have always wanted to walk and see this beautiful place. I still haven’t been able to go to this place and someday I hope to see this place.

Sometime back in January of 2015, I had participated in NYC Midnight’s short story contest and was assigned a Ski-Fi genre, a genre which is definitely not my strength. However I wrote ‘A walk at Dzukou Valley’. In this story , I used the location of Dzukou Valley and wrote based on what I have seen in many of the pictures, and my deep desire to go to Dzukou. I got Honorable Mention of the story for the contest and one of the Judge mentioned “The exotic setting of the Dzukou Valley is a plus.”

SYNOPSIS – There was a choice, to travel real time in the retirement party menu, to travel at any location on earth to live organically before retiring the body. And I have 5 days to live and find my love, my love I was supposed to meet 50 years ago when I was 28.

Morning Worship

I have always been fascinated and love the sight of the morning worship of my mother, giving the feeling of purity. This is a very common sight in many household in Manipur (Small vessel filled with water, flowers offered with light and incense stick in the early morning before/as the sun rises)

In times of Conflict, No one can take our spirit away, Spread the love on Valentine’s Day 2014

Valentine‘s Day was associated more with romantic love, it’s celebrated now by all even small kids in preschool and kindergarten making cards for everyone in the class, for the teachers, for parents, friends and now it’s all about LOVE and your SPIRIT. Celebrating Valentine’s Day in the midst of all the conflict, discrimination and crimes faced by our people, it’s our way of saying “Even in time of Conflict, No one can take our spirit away”

Spread the love on Valentine’s Day 2014.

Inspired by Paradise Road, a strong movie showing the amazing strength and courage in woman surviving hardships and emerging as survivors. The group of women from different countries and social levels are prisoners in a Japanese POW camp,, organizes a vocal band in spite of their guards resistance and a way to bring a smile during those conflicting time. The power of music kept them together during such hard times of war and go through the conflicting phase.

Thanks everyone for contributing to this Album and participating in spreading the love.

For Dog lovers as pet : Dedicated to “Ruby the dog” and all Missing dogs in Manipur

This Album is dedicated to “Ruby the dog”, all dog lovers as pet and all dogs who went missing in Manipur landing up in people’s plate, without giving a chance to the owner to say Good bye.

STOP stealing people’s pet. STOP eating people’s pet. If you want to eat, buy it, raise your own and eat it but STOP eating by stealing people’s pet.

Ruby The Dog

Such an adorable little dog, With soft black and white fur, And expressive beautiful eyes, Winning everyone’s heart, The minute she walked in our home.

She guarded the house, Welcoming family and friends with her wagging tail, And barking notoriously warning us of strangers, She practically grew up with us, Witnessing every milestones of our life.

She gets older, bony and almost blind, And one fine day she went for a walk never to return back, Words spread that Ruby was hit by a truck, But no trace of her and no body found, And we never got a chance to say goodbye.

It’s a small community, Where you always know who is doing what, But no one will say anything about Ruby’s truck accident, Time went by, Searches continues without any success.

Mr. Mei fully drunk walks by our and his “Leirak” (road leading to home), Swaying and barely able to walk, As though he had the last ounce of guilt left in drunken body, He confessed that he ate one and only “Matum” (piece)of Ruby, As the others are gobbled up by the other drunks.

Thanks everyone for sharing these beautiful pictures of your dog and sharing about your dog.
