Nurakhudonglei, commonly known as yachubi. One of the rare flower of Manipur, people hardly recognized this flower and consider this as one of the wild flower growing near by the hills but there is a big significance behind this flower. Once upon a time nurakhundonglei was national flower of Manipur, time period is not exactly not known to it maybe in time of porei or asiba or apanba but not only nurakhundonglei is used in the flag. shamadon ayangba (flying horse) was also uses in our ancient flag. Another legend is that the goddess panthoibi or petanga learn the art of making pottery from the new budding of this flower.

DJUKO LILY AT ITS SPLENDOUR….this rare lily species was discovered by a young plant hunter named Dr. Vikramjit Singh who happened to be my cousin and named the lily as Lilium Chitrangade after the name of his mother Chitra..unfortunately Dr.Vikramjit is no more among us..he left for his heavenly abode due to leukamia in his thirties as a bachelor…
‘Let them grow in the swamp or by the creeks in the village’ was what I heard when I brought two of Laphoorik (Cannas) plants from a creek in the village. With the roots dripping mud and the plants slightly withered they failed to impress. But it didn’t take them more than two weeks for the fresh sprouts to thrust forth, and soon the flowers or the colourful petals found a place on the morning round brass plate next to burning incense sticks and water-filled brass jar

For each category 1 Best Picture will be selected by Manipur Photography Club and FindingTheVoices. The winner of the best picture will receive a T-Shirt of Manipur Photography Club as a small gesture to encourage the beautiful clicks.
For each category 1 Best Picture will be selected based on viewers popularity (Likes & Comments on …FindingTheVoices Page). The winner will get 2 movie tickets “Amamba Sayon” Resurrection for ’15th Dec’ @ MFDC, Imphal.
FindingTheVoices will choose pictures for FindingTheVoices’s Greeting cards (with agreement with Photographer) based on popularity, Guest invitee’s comments and there will be surprise prize for these selected pictures.
