However much you love the humans, at times there are moments (or many) when you need a time out, at a loss of words, engulfed in deep feelings bringing tears in your eyes. Also there are moments (less than we would normally want, we always want more!) the humans fill you with overwhelming love taking you out of this world. And you need a time out to check if it’s real. Or there are times where your heart pulls you to paint for no reason, you will feel it very strongly that you just can’t ignore it. And at such time out, the colors of the paints can do magic, taking you to a place you want to be, synching with your moods, a place which is just for you, your space and your creation. And painting can be just fun, healing, liberating and magical. I love it. You have to try to feel it.

How would I know of the beauty of the vibrant green color of the bamboo leaves ?
How would I know of the beautiful rich saffron color soil of the hill ?
How would I know the beauty of the golden sun as it rises and sets?
How would I know the beauty of flowers with colors ?
I am color blind,
I know “beautiful” and “colors” through your eyes and words,
Otherwise it’s a mere black and white sight.
Colors through your eyes

My father asked me why I am painting instead of studying (In his mind, I am in school and his little girl). I reminded him that I am no longer studying and am working now, and I paint as a hobby. He laughed and examined what I painted. I jokingly asked him how much my painting would fetch if sold, he thought for a bit and seriously replied that I would definitely get Rs 30. I responded quickly stating that seem to be a bit low, and he paused and said, maybe Rs 35. And we all had a good laugh together.

Symbolic representation of Lord Pakhangba (depicting one of the Paphal form) in Manipur. I still felt a strong inspiration to draw another symbolic representation of Lord Pakhangba, even after painting the first one. This is my 2nd attempt.
