006 It’s all in the mind : The Painting

The Painting

She turned to painting,
To restrain words,
Words she wanted to holler.

She turned to painting,
To pour her grief,
Praying with every stroke of the brush.

She stopped painting,
She stopped praying,
And resorted to silence.

The incomplete painting lays in a corner,
For years to come,
Waiting for her to discover herself.

And it’s time to complete the painting,
To change the colors of grief to tranquility,
And hang this painting to symbolize the strength she found.

005 It’s all in the mind : Holding hands

Holding hands

Holding hands and walking by,
As you share about your day,
With your naughty contagious smile,
Making me smile without fail.

Holding hands with you,
It looks like I am leading the way,
But it’s you who is leading,
Making me find my way.

You surprise me everyday,
Asking me about my day,
Never failing to notice a change,
Making me feel special.

004 It’s all in the mind : The Journey

The Journey

I cannot promise any destination,
I cannot promise any fancy ending,
With the view I see,
From where I am standing,
I can feel the joy and excitement.

It’s the journey that matters,
Maybe there will be a celestial place found along the way,
Maybe I will get lost,
But I will never know,
Unless I take the walk.

And I am ready to walk,
With no expectations,
Keeping an open mind,
I will not regret walking to find out,
Rather than think what could have been beyond this view.

003 It’s all in the mind : The Empty Bench

The Empty Bench
She had shed tears sitting here,
Drowning her helplessness,
Not caring for passer-by.

She had waited for him sitting here,
Her heartache growing to indifference,
As she accepted his absence.

She had read books sitting here,
Finding her solitude,
And enjoying it.

Now I am the empty bench,
I see her walking by,
And I am happy she found her way.

002 It’s all in the mind : Fall

Fall
I am a tiny tree,
Ignored, rejected and insignificant,
And then you came,
Bringing out the best in me.
Making me glow,
Making me beautiful,
I know this will pass,
Pass like everything else.
I know I will be left empty,
With every part of me falling,
But I submit to fall,
Experiencing the best I could be before I fall.

001 It’s all in the mind : The Leaf

The Leaf

I am just a leaf,
Ordinary, plain and starting to dry up,
The morning dew fell on me,
Without any announcement,
Making me glisten,
Elevating me from being ordinary.

~The End~

Believing in surprises. A special poem, my first poem I wrote and shared.

Light Reading : An Experimental attempt to write.

How much of fiction is reality?
How much of reality is fiction ?
Writing is liberating,
Writing is healing,
Writing is discovering yourself,
Writing is fun,
What is writing for you ?

It’s an attempt to write what is in the mind based on my experiences, what I saw and heard, and fictionalize with my imagination. So yes every post is based on reality fused with fiction. It’s a playground for writer’s imagination & reader’s interpretation.
