Mom’s Name & profession: Sorokhaibam Sachi Devi, Homemaker
My mom is a very hardworking, high spirited and a cheerful person. A “woman of substance”, I would rather say. I would like to thank her for the unconditional love and support she has given us. She gave priority to nothing else when it came to us and always trusted us. She never sits idle. Even today, my dad takes pain in making her stop doing things and in telling her to take rest. It’s just that, at times, he wants to spend some lone time with her. But, mom never listens. So, dad would have no other choice than to sit beside her and watch her. He takes special pleasure in doing so. They don’t express it but we know the spark is still there. It’s such a good feeling to have their blessings.
We had a strict upbringing. Even today, there are times when I feel scared of my mom. But, this has impacted my life in so many ways. If it is not for her I would have been lost. All that I’m today or ever hope to be, I owe it to my mom. I can never thank her enough for the sacrifices she has made just to fulfill our wishes. Thank you so much ‘MOM’ for always being there for us and for everything.
Many a time, knowingly or unknowingly, we tend to say or do things that hurt our moms to a great extent. But, how much you feel sorry inside, you fail to express it. I haven’t said sorry to my mom once. Sorry mom if I ever did or said anything to hurt you and for being a not so good daughter. Sorry for not being able to give you the appreciations you deserve. I know you have high hopes for me. I haven’t been able to live up to your expectations yet. But, I promise you that I won’t let you down and will always keep you smiling.
“Thank you for believing in me. Love you always!”
